Known for its precision engineering and exceptional performance the Curado Series builds on it 30 years of performance and durability with the Shimano 23 Curado 200HG M Baitcaster Reel. Inheriting all the latest Shimano reel technologies such as the MagnumLite (MGL) Spool III, SilentTune, SVS Infinity and HAGANE body the Curado 200HG provides enhanced castability with heavier lines and lures in any situation.
HAGANE
The Aluminum HAGANE Body provides rigidity to increase cranking power and overall reeling efficiency while helping to reduce weight. HAGANE is a Shimano metal body with high rigidity and impact resistance which virtually eliminates body flexing on the reel.
MICROMODULE
MicroModule Gear technology creates a smooth retrieve by utilising smaller teeth to increase the number of contact points between the drive gear and pinion.
X SHIP
By supporitng the pinion gear on both ends with bearings, the pinion gear maintains precise alignment with the drive gear, the increased support allows the gears to stay in the same position under the heaviest loads. The X Ship technology also eliminated the friction between the spool shaft and gear to further benefit anglers with enhanced casting performance and casting distance of lighter lures.
MGL SPOOL III
MGL Spool III is a low inertia spool with a thin spool wall. This helps contribute to casting performance, quick response and long cast distance.
SILENTTUNE
By applying slight pressure to the bearing holding the spool, SilentTune reduces the vibration of the bearing during high-speed rotation. This improves the quietness while casting and the rise of the spool rotation becomes even smoother.
SVS Infinity
SVS Infinity provides easy to manage consistent spool control and break force.SVS Infinity controls the spool speed for precise casting by using brake weights that use inner friction against the raceway during the cast. For full customisation an adjustment knob is provided to adjust to the conditions or for different baits.
S A-RB Bearings
Similar to A-RB Bearings with the addition of shields on both sides of the bearings. The sheilds reduce the possibility of salt and sand entering and inhibiting the rotation of the bearings. This helps increase the duability of the reel.
Expanding on Curado's reputation as a do everything reel, Shimano redesigned the Curado 200M delievering reliability and performance that Shimano is renowned for.
