A durable aluminium Monocoque (MQ) body houses Daiwa’s Tough Digigear design in a larger diameter than made possible with traditional spinning reel body designs. AIRDRIVE Design has been included to reduce the reeling resistance when turning the handle. A new rotor design reduces the overall weight, and Daiwa’s AIRDRIVE Bail is constructed of a tubular structure that is thinner than previous generations to reduce weight further. • AIRDRIVE DESIGN: Daiwa’s new Airdrive Design is a four-pillar concept (Airdrive Rotor, Airdrive Bail, Airdrive Spool, and Airdrive Shaft). This design reduces weight and enhances rotational smoothness and responsiveness to create a reel that is next level in both form and function.
• The MONOCOQUE (MQ): Body takes reel design to the next level. The MQ does not require a conventional side plate; instead, it uses an engine plate that screws directly to the body, eliminating the need for screws to hold a body cover in place. MQ body improves the reel's strength, enhances the body's water resistance, and allows a larger diameter drive gear to be installed.
• MAGSEALED BODY: Ultimate protection is delivered to the engine room of the reel with a magnetised oil seal located on the main shaft of the reel’s rotor, shutting the door to the elements and unwanted intruders.
