This is a perfect setup for my 11 year old son. He loves it and is very comfortable casting and getting the loops to turn over. As an adult swapping from casting an 8 weight to using this rig you have to dial back the power which means that for a kid it’s perfectly balanced. It’s a cool little rod to cast with and would be good for small skinny water fishing small dry flies.
