The 21 TD Battler takes this to the next level, further refining the range with new models and actions designed specifically to optimise your lure fishing experience. 

Developed over many years, we have produced the lightest most technically advanced rods available and at the centre of this development is the most technical guide system ever created. AGS utilises a unique graphite guide frame that’s more sensitive than metal, lighter, stronger, and more rigid. This enables the guide system to provide faster casting, greater distance, increased accuracy, decreased rod vibration, and a massive increase in sensitivity. To compliment this, we have designed a blank that combines SVF with 3DX and X45 that achieves incredible wall thinness, lightness, and sensitivity, as well as a high level of power. The end result is a blank that possesses massive hoop strength, while eliminating twist and distortion under load. A great rod needs quality componentry and TD Battler features the most comfortable and sensitive reel seats. Daiwa Air-Beam reel seats attached directly to the blank and cover the reel foot, increasing sensitivity, comfort and stability. To finish the build the TD Battler incorperates Air foam grips that are stronger and provide more sensitivity than cork or EVA.

HVF Nanoplus
Through the use of nano resin control technology in the blank construction process, Nanoplus allows for increased graphite density to be achieved within a graphite rod blank.

3DX
3DX supports the lower power section of the rod by knitting densely packed carbon fibres in 3 directions to achieve a six wrap rectangular weave. Power through the blank under load is distributed evenly in all directions allowing it to maintain its profile and form. This process confines the rod's power to the lower section of the rod, increases power, eliminates blank twist and collapse, all the while reducing angler fatigue.

X45
Developed to eliminate blank twist and increase power, X45 features a Bias Wrap Construction, left/right 45 degree carbon weave within the blank. X45 radically improves rod strength and durability by eliminating twist and preventing the blank from losing its round form. The elimination of this twist allows for a lighter, stronger and more powerful and sensitive rod.

V-Joint
Bias construction within the ferrule allows it to flex with the rod, eliminating the weak, unbending spot caused by ordinary ferrules. The result of this revolutionary technology is a multi-piece blank that matches the performance of one-piece blanks in flex, power and responsiveness.

Air Sensor Reel Seat
Daiwa's carbon fibre reel seat that's minimal in weight, yet high in strength and sensitivity. Daiwa's ultimate high end, high performance reel seat.

Fuji SiC Ring
SiC has been the gold standard of guide ring material for over 20 years. Super hard, light, and highly polished and smooth, SiC guides are an excellent dissipater of heat making them ideal for light drags and/or big fish.

AGS Guides
The pinnacle of metal-framed guides titanium is lighter, stronger and more corrosion resistant than other metals.

Split Grip
A spilt rear grip that has an exposed blank section between the reel seat and the end of the rod.
