THE ROD - Primal Zone 10ft #4 Weight Rod

Balance in any fly rod setup is important but with euro nymphing it’s critical. 

On the water is where the Primal shows its true colours. Expect great feedback from your nymph and casting accuracy is dart like. Some lighter nymphing rods are good until a fish is hooked and you find out there is no power in the lower sections and then the fish dictates the terms of the fight. Not so with the Primal Zone range. There is more than enough power in the mid and lower sections and fighting fish on this rod is enjoyable as you feel in total control of the battle.

Rod Features:

• ULTRALIGHT HELICAL CORE - We start with our UHC technology of an ultra-light helical core to support hoop strength and stabilise the blank in flex
• AMPLIFIED NANO RESIN - This is overlaid with high modulus fibres reinforced with our amplified nano resin which reinforces the blank without dampening the graphite fibres
• LOW MASS SCRIM - Primal’s low mass scrim technology maximises hoop strength without dampening the rod via adding additional weight like traditional glass scrims
• LONGITUDINAL FIBRE ALIGNMENT - At Primal we use custom off axis prepregs that, when rolled, ensure the important longitudinal fibres are aligned along the length of the blank. The result is more feel, improved energy flow throughout the cast and lightning quick recovery rates

The FlyLab Focus is a custom european nymphing reel designed to balance longer rods, not catch a euro line in the frame and spin freely for fast retrieves - all whilst being stylish enough so it's comfortable on a podium, just like you.

It’s always tough getting the perfect balance between making something totally awesome and legal. Well the new SLN Euro Nymph Line rides that fine line right to the edge. This super thin specialist nymph line is FIPS Mouche competition legal and built on a non stretch core for maximum feel. At only 0.60 mm in diameter, It also features our Super-dri coating so it floats extremely high, and is far more durable compared to PVC or mono-filament based nymph lines or french leaders. The line is stealth olive on one side, and the other end has a flo-orange tip - so you can pick the colour you want to fish dependent on stealth requirements and light conditions. Ultra neat micro welded loops make tippet attachment simplicity itself.
