It’s important to match the drag on your reel with two things. Firstly, the breaking strain of the braid you are using on your reel. For example, using 50lb braid on a bait caster with 12lb of drag will not only void the warranty but downscale the performance. Secondly, the recommended weight rating on your fishing rod. Matching these as best as you can will improve performance & ensure all warranties are maintained.What’s the best fishing reel for softbaiting?
